Donald McIntosh added another championship to his accolade list over the weekend in his Blount Motorsports No. 7m Ole Ben Franklin Motors/ Stowers Cat/ XR1 Rocket Chassis/ Vic Hill Racing Engine Super Late Model. The Georgia racer registered a Top-10 finish in the Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series, final race, which allowed him to secure the inaugural season’s championship.
“We didn’t have the night that we wanted at 311 Motor Speedway on Saturday, but we did well enough to achieve our goal of clinching the Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals title. Overall, it’s been a great season with Blount Motorsports,” McIntosh said. “As always, I’d like to say a very special thanks to Larry Garner, David Bryant, and everyone at Blount Motorsports, who provides me with such a great car to drive.”
Donald McIntosh invaded 311 Motor Speedway (Pine Hall, North Carolina) on Saturday night as he put a wrap on the inaugural season of the Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series. In a field of 17 cars, Donald recorded a sixth-place finish in his heat race, which positioned him 11th on the starting grid for the $10,000-to-win finale. Improving two spots in the 60-lap affair, McIntosh reeled in a ninth-place finish.
With his finish on Saturday, McIntosh secured the Schaeffer’s Fall Nationals points title.
