The win marked his second Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals win of the season and his sixth victory overall.

“This car was really awesome,” McIntosh said after winning Saturday night’s event at Thunderhill Raceway Park. “I feel like the racetrack was really good too, because I could get under them on the bottom side or the top side, so I really don't think it latched up. I could put it wherever I wanted it, and when the car’s that good it makes my job easy. We ran well in the Southern Nationals race at Thunderhill earlier this year but had a flat. This time we dominated and for once everything worked out just like we planned it.”

The following night at Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tennessee), for the Buddy Rogers Memorial, Donald logged the sixth-fastest time in his qualifying group which positioned him 12th on the starting grid for the $5,000-to-win finale.
